Integration & Modernization

Upgrade the environment without disrupting operations.

Techio manages the peripheral work required for technology changes, so devices and the workflows that connect them to the EMR are ready when the new environment goes live.

SAME-DAY RESOLUTION
WHY TECHIO

Get devices and workflows ready for go-live.

A new system, device, or platform can be technically ready while the workflows around it are not. Printers, scanners, label and wristband devices, queues, mappings, drivers, and scan or fax configurations still have to work in the new environment.

‍Techio manages that transition from assessment through deployment and validation, so the peripheral layer is ready when the broader technology change goes live.

System & Device Conversions

Replacing hardware is usually the easy part. The risk sits in the workflows, applications, configurations, dependencies, and support processes connected to it. Techio plans the conversion around everything that has to continue working through cutover.

Fleet assessment
Queue & mapping migration
Compatibility validation
Scan & fax migration
Cutover planning
User validation
Device configuration
End-of-life retirement

EHR & Application Integration

Peripheral integration is not complete because the application can see a printer or scanner. The relevant connections between the application, workstation or server, operating system, network, queue, and device all have to work together.Techio configures and validates those connections across printing, scanning, label and wristband output, digital fax, secure print, and other supported application I/O workflows.

EHR output integration
Scanner workflows
Front-end print configuration
Digital fax integration
Back-end print configuration
Secure print integration
Label & wristband output
End-to-end workflow testing

Deployments

Successful I/O depends on the path between the application, workstation, operating system, network, and device. Techio manages that last-mile integration layer so printing, scanning, labeling, wristbands, and fax workflows behave the way the application expects.

Queue & mapping setup
Site readiness
User validation

Workflow Modernization

Techio maps how information moves in the environment  and identifies where manual steps, recurring support work, or unnecessary infrastructure dependencies can be reduced. Depending on the environment, that can include serverless or Direct IP printing, digital fax modernization, redesigned scan workflows, secure print, and greater standardization.

Scan workflow redesign

Utilization analysis
Digital fax modernization

approach

The peripheral work stays connected to the larger project.

Workflow before hardware

We start with what the device or system has to support, not simply what needs to be installed.

One owner through cutover

Assessment, configuration, deployment, migration, and validation stay connected instead of being handed between teams.

Brand agnostic

Keep equipment that still has a viable path forward. Replace it when compatibility, security, support, or workflow requirements justify the change.

Built for healthcare operations

Changes are planned around environments where disruption has an immediate operational impact.

process

Assess. Prepare. Deploy. Stabilize.

1

Assess

Document the current devices, configurations, workflows, dependencies, compatibility issues, and exceptions.

2

Prepare

Define the target state, remediate known issues, configure the environment, and establish the cutover and validation plan.

3

Deploy

Stage and install equipment, migrate the required configurations, and coordinate the change across the affected sites and workflows.

4

Stabilize

Validate the actual workflows, resolve post-cutover exceptions, reconcile the environment, and close the gaps that would otherwise fall back on IT.

FAQ

What teams usually ask us.

Do we have to replace the entire fleet?

No. Techio assesses what can remain in service and what actually requires remediation or replacement. A conversion can also be phased by facility, department, workflow, or device type.

Can Techio work with our existing devices and vendors?

Yes. Techio is brand agnostic and can work within the existing environment while coordinating the peripheral work required for the project.

How do you validate a deployment?

We validate the workflow the device was deployed to support, not simply whether the hardware powers on or produces a test page. For application-connected peripherals, that can include the relevant application, workstation or server, operating system, network, queue, and device connections.

Can a conversion be phased?

Yes. Techio can phase conversions by facility, department, workflow, or device type based on the project and operational requirements.

What happens after cutover?

Techio can remain engaged through stabilization to resolve peripheral exceptions, validate workflows, reconcile the environment, and transition the completed work into ongoing support.
